Artitude Exhibition & Ulster Museum Revisit
The tour of the Artitude exhibition at the Waterfront Hall was rather short… lets just say I was a bit disappointed. It mostly consisted of tattoo artists I assume. There are some artist there with work thats not in the style of a tattoo artist which really caught my interested, so it was phone out of my pocket to make a quick note of the names of the artists. One artist that cought my eye the most was one with an alias called Friz. His/her characters are very cartoon/comic style and very much like Joe Ledbetter style. Well worth looking into some of these artists especially Friz for me off course!
This return to the Ulster Museum with all cameras charged and ready to shoot did produce some interesting results and some not so interesting. I did miss the mummy section which I wanted to get a few photos off but due to restricted time it will be saved for another rainy day.
I have to admit that the wild life section must have been my favourite 🙂
Here are a few photos from yesterdays trip.
This guy is said to be some sort of Tasmanian Devil, kind of like the one in the cartoons but uglier! It just looks like an angery dog to be honest.
For the rest of the photo if your are interested then head over to my Flickr which should be up during the week.

The Arctic Cruiser @ Cookstown!
Thursday 11th June 2009 the day after returning from the road trip I was re-charged for another journey out to Cookstown to witness the only truck to reach the North Pole. It was the heavily modified Toyota Hilux that Top Gear drove to the North Pole, it was displayed in Mid Ulster Cars ending on Friday 12th June 2009.

Toyota Hilux Arctic Loaded for the Arctic

I had to have fun 🙂
Arriving there and noticing it instantly at the entrance of the place, apart from that it was nothing like the cars that were being sold there, not even the normal Toyota Hilux.
Examining the truck closely you can even see the damage done to the bumpers as it raked through the heavy snow of the North Pole driven by Jeremy Clarkson and James May.
They even brought a polar bear back from their Arctic visit and it was on display along with the truck. I couldn’t help by just standing there looking at it so I had to have a go on it myself 🙂
